Welcome back to our wedding planning series! You’ve officially hit the 7-month mark, and things are starting to get real. With just a few more months to go, now’s the time to focus on the important details that will bring everything together. From picking out outfits for your wedding party to locking in vendors, we’ve got you covered. Let’s dive into this month’s tasks!

7 Months Out

1. Shop for Wedding Party Attire Now that your wedding day look is coming together, it’s time to focus on your squad! Shopping for wedding party attire can be a fun and collaborative experience. Whether you want everyone in matching dresses or suits, or you’re going for a more mix-and-match style, now’s the time to decide. Start by thinking about your wedding colors and overall theme. Is your wedding black-tie, boho-chic, or something in between? This will guide your choices.
Be sure to consider everyone’s comfort—after all, your wedding party will be wearing these outfits for hours! Take them shopping (either in person or virtually) and listen to their input. Oh, and don’t forget about accessories! Shoes, jewelry, and ties can help pull the whole look together.

2. Finalize All Vendor Hires By now, you’ve probably booked most of your major vendors, but this is the time to finalize everything. Still need a florist or a baker? Now’s your chance to lock them in! Reach out to any remaining vendors you haven’t hired yet and make sure all contracts are signed and deposits are paid. This step is crucial for keeping your planning on track. Also, take this time to confirm the details with your existing vendors. Have a check-in call or send an email to go over timelines, expectations, and any last-minute details. This way, everyone is on the same page, and you can avoid any surprises down the road.

3. Secure Your Rehearsal Dinner Location Your rehearsal dinner is the perfect way to kick off your wedding weekend with close family and friends. It’s a chance for everyone to relax and enjoy each other’s company before the big day. When picking a location, think about the vibe you want. Do you want an intimate restaurant dinner, a casual backyard BBQ, or something totally unique?

Once you’ve decided, book your venue and start planning the details. Will there be a set menu, or will guests order from the regular menu? Do you need any decor or entertainment? If you’re going with something more casual, make sure there’s plenty of seating and a cozy space for everyone to mingle. And don’t forget to send out rehearsal dinner invitations so your guests can mark their calendars.

That’s it for this month! With 7 months to go, you’re knocking out some big items and getting closer to the finish line. Stay tuned for Part 7, where we’ll guide you through the next steps. In the meantime, keep having fun with the process and remember: you’ve got this! Happy planning!
