Calendar, Save the Date Reminder
It's time to send your "Save the Date"
Welcome back to our wedding planning series! We’re now 9 months out from your big wedding day, and things are really starting to come together. This is the time when your vision begins to take shape, and you’ll start making decisions that will bring your celebration to life. Here’s what you should focus on this month.

1. Choose Save-the-Dates

It’s time to let your guests know when the celebration will be! Save-the-dates are your way of giving your loved ones a heads-up so they can mark their calendars and make travel arrangements. You’ll want to send these out as soon as you’ve finalized your guest list. When choosing your save-the-dates, think about how they’ll set the tone for your wedding. Whether you opt for a classic card, a fun magnet, or even a digital version, make sure it reflects your style as a couple. And don’t forget to include important details like the date, location, and a note that a formal invitation will follow.

2. Plan Your Entertainment

Your wedding entertainment will set the mood and keep the energy high throughout your celebration. Whether you’re dreaming of a live band, a DJ, or even something unique like a string quartet or a solo acoustic guitarist, now’s the time to start planning. Consider the vibe you want for different parts of your day—do you want soft, romantic music during the ceremony, and a lively dance party at the reception? Once you’ve decided, start reaching out to entertainment vendors. Be sure to check out their previous performances, read reviews, and discuss your vision to ensure they’re the right fit for your big day.

3. Begin Booking Rentals

From tables and chairs to linens and lighting, rentals play a big role in bringing your wedding day vision to life. Depending on your venue, you may need to rent quite a few items to transform the space. Start by making a list of what you’ll need, including essentials like seating, tableware, and dance floors, as well as décor elements like drapery and lighting. Then, reach out to rental companies to compare options and pricing. Booking early ensures you get exactly what you want and prevents any last-minute scrambles.

4. Have an Engagement Photo Session

An engagement photo session is not only a fun way to celebrate this special time in your life, but it’s also a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day. Plus, you’ll get beautiful photos that you can use for your save-the-dates, wedding website, or even décor at your reception. When planning your session, think about locations that are meaningful to you as a couple—maybe the spot where you got engaged, your favorite park, or a trendy urban setting. Work with your photographer to choose outfits that complement each other and reflect your personalities. Most importantly, relax and enjoy the experience—you’ll be capturing memories that you’ll cherish for years to come.

As you check off these tasks, your wedding day is beginning to take shape. Keep the momentum going, and don’t forget to enjoy every moment of this exciting journey. We’ll be back soon with Part 5, where we’ll guide you through the next steps as your big day gets even closer. Happy planning!
